Radial Engineering R800 5005 00 Overview
Guard your electronic equipment, charge your mobile device, and light up your rack with the Radial Engineering Power-2 rackmount surge suppressor and power conditioner. Awarded Best in Show at NAMM 2020, Power-2 offers a sliding multicolor LED tray and nine outlets—one always-on outlet in front and eight switched outlets on the rear—protected against harmful power surges by the USA-made Metal Oxide Varistor.
With steel construction and robust components, Power-2 is ready for the challenges of constant sessions and live gigs. Plus, it yields low system noise while keeping radio-frequency interference out. Occupying just 1 RU of rack space, Power-2 is an ideal addition to gear racks used by studio operators, musicians, engineers, and producers.
A tray slides out to illuminate rack equipment below, with ultrabright LEDs in seven color options along with a built-in dimmer to adjust as needed.
Unswitched Front-Panel Outlet
The single front-panel outlet will supply power even when the device is switched off, allowing you to easily connect and charge devices without powering on the entire rack.
Switched Rear-Panel Outlets
Eight rear-panel outlets are activated via the backlit power switch. Four of the eight outlets offer ample spacing for wall warts.
Also on the front panel is a 5V/1A USB Type-A charging port for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.
Fault Protection Indicator
An LED illuminates when the Power-2's USA-made Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) is actively working. The MOV is designed to provide continuous protection for your equipment against varying resistance and high-voltage spikes from the AC main power source.
Power-2 utilizes shunt-mode technology and is non ground contaminating for lower system noise. A high-rejection RF interference filter is used to keep high frequencies and AM radio signals out of the power line, preventing contamination of audio signals.
A heavy-duty power on/off switch, rugged outlet connectors, and steel construction ensure that the Power-2 performs night after night without fail.
